Now that summer is in full swing, it’s time to work on brightening your outdoor spaces. You’re thinking of all the typical ones like your backyard (see here for tips on that) and front yard. But did you ever think of your front door? It’s the first thing people see when they come to visit your home and it can add so much personality with very little effort. Break out the painting supplies people because we are going to be upping your home’s wow factor with just a few pieces of painting equipment (or just hiring a pro). I suggest choosing a high gloss finish to give your door a polished look.
1. Blue
Pick a deep blue like Van Deusen Blue to brighten up a white exterior.
2. Yellow
If you love sunflowers and you want to show off your personality, a yellow front door like Hawthorne Yellow will do wonders for your home.
3. Black
For a neutral lover, black can still make a bold statement on your door. Try Soot for a clean shade of black.
4. Gray
For a deep gray with a bit of drama, try Rockport Gray on your front door. For more gray paint color ideas, click here.
5. Pink
Try Pink Hibiscus for a soft pink with some warmth. Now who wouldn’t want a pink front door??
6. Cranberry
To make your home stand out from the rest, go with Cranberry Cocktail on your door.
7. Green
If you want to go all in with a green front door, go with Emerald Isle.
8. Red
A red front door shows that you dare to be different. Try Ravishing Red for an orangey-red that is just begging people to come on in.
To update the front of your house even further, add planters like these and new house numbers. Voila! The exterior of your home just got a complete makeover.
