Does your living room feel disjointed or overdue for a refresh? Bringing a space together—balancing proper scale, selecting cohesive textures, and sourcing pieces that last—can easily feel overwhelming.
For this project, we worked virtually with a family in Lakewood, New Jersey, who wanted to completely reimagine their main living area. They were ready to part with outdated furniture and replace it with a clean, modern aesthetic that still felt warm, welcoming, and built for daily living.
Through our seamless E-Design process, we helped them achieve a polished, bespoke feel without the trial-and-error.

The Vision
The goal was simple: clear out the existing layout and start fresh with a modern, tailored design. The client wanted elevated style and deep comfort, but needed a clear vision and spatial plan to ensure every new piece fit the room’s proportions perfectly.
The Design Process
We started with a collaborative discovery phase. The client shared inspirational imagery capturing the feel they wanted, alongside precise measurements and floor drawings of the room.
From there, we developed scaled floor plan layouts to test different seating configurations—ultimately landing on a spacious sectional layout to maximize comfort and flow. We then curated a cohesive mix of foundational pieces, textiles, and warm accents, using mood boards so the client could visualize the finished room before purchasing a single item.
Together with the client, we chose a couch, a rug, and throw pillows. I created mood boards to make sure each element went well together and that we were achieving our client’s vision.

After lots of shopping, installing, and hard work all around, everything came together.
